Blue Horizon Detection: groundwater seen from space.

Our mission

A borehole is expensive, and a dry borehole is even more expensive. BhdBlue helps farmers, drillers, local authorities and consultancies choose the best place before digging.

Our method

We combine recognised satellite and map data: Copernicus terrain, Sentinel-2 images, CHIRPS rainfall, SoilGrids soils, OpenStreetMap streams and the geological map of Morocco. Each criterion gets a weight with the AHP multi-criteria method, used in hydrogeology worldwide.

The result ranks your land from least to most favourable, and shows the points where conditions are best.

BhdBlue shows where the chances are highest. For a borehole, we recommend confirming the chosen point on site with a hydrogeologist or an experienced driller.
